9 Dec 09 Thanks to all who have shown the enthusiasm in wanting to set up a sked. I have received hundreds of emails, so I want to offer my most likely operating times and frequency. The most open band for me appears to be 40 meters during my available times outside of my work schedule. I have been hanging out on the bottom 25 KHz (7.000 - 7.025). I worked my first pile up for an hour and an half on 8 Dec 09 until my fist could take no more. Most of the stations I am working are in Europe and Asia. I may have heard a US call in the pile up, but the strong Europeans were just too much. My operating time for this pile up was (1600-1715 UTC). I will do my best to vary my schedule, but for now the bottom of 40 CW has the best openings. For all you square mouths, don't worry, I will work some phone too, but after calling CQ some many times on 20 and 40 meters with nothing, I am going to take the DX mode on the key for a bit. The bands need to make a turn in my favor. If you have a beam, point it over the pole. My dipole is radiating in that direction. Please keep in mind I am very busy here with my assignment, so nothing will most likely remain regular. Hang in there and check my website for details and updates. Your emails are always welcome, but I may not have the time to respond to all. Thanks again and wishing you much good DX. 73, de T6LC |
